Watch: Jurassic World Short Battle at Big Rock

Let me start this off by saying, I was not a fan of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom but the cliffhanger ending was great. The thought of dinosaurs roaming into our every day lives opens the door to endless possibilities in the third film. While Jurassic World 3 wont be hitting theaters until 2021, that isn’t stopping filmmaker Colin Trevorrow from capitalizing on that ending and in the process getting us excited for the possibilities with JW3, in a new Jurassic World short called Battle at Big Rock, that aired on FX. Check out the full short below:

The official synopsis for Battle at Big Rock reads: The short takes place one year after the events of the last Jurassic World film in Big Rock National Park, where dinosaurs are now living in our world. The story follows a family of four whose encounter with these wild animals becomes a terrifying fight for survival.

Andre Holland (Moonlight), Natalie Martinez (End of Watch), Melody Hurd, and Pierson Salvador star as the young family who encounter a few Nasutoceratops and an angry Allosaurus in the woods of Northern California. If this short and the post credit stuff is what we can expect more of in the next Jurassic World movie then I am all in. I thought the ending of Fallen Kingdom was the most interesting aspect of that film. It appears Trevorrow agrees as we can see from this short.
