“Twilight” TV Series in Early Development
“Twilight” TV Series in Early Development

The Twilight Saga is getting the television treatment, as sources reported that a series version of author Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling book series is in early development.

The film franchise, helped turn Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, into household names and collectively grossed more than $3.4 billion worldwide.

The timing of the Twilight series comes as HBO Max is in early development of a Harry Potter TV adaptation with plans for a decade-long run of J.K. Rowling’s book series with the author attached as an executive producer.

Twilight TV Show in the Works – The Hollywood Reporter

It’s not shocking to see this news. Hollywood loves rebooting the things we love and after the Harry Potter news it really isn’t shocking someone would start developing a film series. My guess is we will start seeing more of these reboots coming. Maybe Maze Runner next or Hunger Games? Who cares if Hunger Games is getting the prequel film treatment, why not do a TV series as well.
