The Weeknd just landed his first starring role in a movie he helped co-write.

It doesn’t have a title yet, and nobody is sharing plot details. But the script was so good that he landed Jenna Ortega from “Wednesday” and Barry Keoghan from “The Banshees of Inisherin” as co-stars.

The Weeknd made his acting debut in 2019’s “Uncut Gems” and is set to star in the upcoming HBO series “The Idol”.
