I loved The Sopranos and still rank it as one of the best TV Shows ever created. With that being said, I’m really excited for this film. I get the trailer leans heavy into young Tony Soprano (Michael Gandolfini…Yes, James Gandolfini’s kid.) but it’s clear this is more about Dickie Moltisanti (Alessandro Nivola), the mentor to the young Tony Soprano.

The rest of the cast is impressive with Leslie Odom Jr., Jon Bernthal, Corey Stoll, Billy Magnussen, John Magaro, Michela De Rossi, Ray Liotta, and Vera Farmiga.

The Many Saints of Newark will be released in theaters on October 1, 2021 and will be available on HBO Max 31 days from the theatrical release.

The flick was originally supposed to open in September 2020, but like so many other films, it was delayed due to COIVD. It was moved to September 2021 before shifting into its current October 1 release date.
