The 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2019!

In an ideal world this list would have been out a week ago but due to sickness and other work obligations we are here today counting down the 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2019!

Let’s kick this list off the only way we should with some honorable mentions:

1.) How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

2.) Men in Black: International

3.) Captain Marvel

Now without any further ado, let’s talk about the 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2019!

10.) JOKER – Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker, Todd Phillips (The Hangover) directing it from a screenplay he helped write. Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2), Robert De Niro, and Marc Maron (GLOW) are also staring in this one. This film is going to be insane & it’s insane that we live in a world that I’m actually excited for a stand alone Joker movie.

9.) John Wick: Chapter 3 – Who isn’t down for Keanu Reeves in a suit doing hitman things?

8.) Us – We all asked Jordan Peele “what’s next?” after his breakout award winning film “Get Out” stormed into theaters. He has answered that question with another eerie looking film.

7.) The Irishman – Martin Scorsese directing, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and even Joe Pesci (Yes, the same Joe Pesci that retired because he was tired of getting offered the same roles) is in for this story of a mob hitman recalling his possible involvement with the slaying of Jimmy Hoffa. Btw this one will be on your Netflix account since they produced it.

6.) The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part – If you slept on the first “Lego Movie” then you missed out on what was one of the best films that year and surprisingly a film that was full of heart. All of that is why this one is on the list.

5.) Spider-Man: Far From Home – I loved “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and consider it my second favorite Spider-Man movie (The number 1 spot is held for “Into The Spider-Verse”) which is why I am ready to see Tom Holland return as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

4.) It: Chapter Two – I’m curious to see if this film can live up to what Chapter One accomplished but with a cast that sees James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader along with Bill Skarsgard back as Pennywise and Andy Muschietti back to direct is why this one lands so high on the list.

3.) Once Upon a Time in Hollywood – Quentin Tarantino is back with a film that is tackling the Sharon Tate murders and Manson family. This is going to be a bit of fantasy the way “Inglorious Bastards” was but you have QT making a 1969 Los Angeles period piece with Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino and Margot Robbie who are just some of the stars in this one.

2.) Star Wars: Episode IX – Say what you will about Star Wars Fatigue but the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga is here and we are all going to be lining up to hand Disney our money.

1.) AVENGERS: ENDGAME – Talking about handing Disney money…This is probably the film I see 5 times in theaters so it shouldn’t be a shock. Anyone that has been on this cinematic journey has had this date circled since last year. We are ready to see how our hero’s are handling everything, what exactly is done to fix the events of the past, and all while we say goodbye to some of the characters we have loved watching for the past 10 years. Someone will have to pay the ultimate fate and I mean the type of fate that sticks. Is it Iron Man or Captain America?

There you have it. Are you mad that I snubbed Disney this year with “Toy Story 4” or “The Lion King”? Or maybe you are really excited to see the new Godzilla movie. I’d love to hear from you below. What movies are you excited for in 2019?
