“Road House” Reboot In Business with Jake Gyllenhaal

The word is that the upcoming “Road House” remake is bringing in Jake Gyllenhaal for the Patrick Swayze role.

Now it’s not known if he will actually be playing Dalton the character from Swayze’s 80’s classic or a new character.

You can read more about it below:

“Road House” is a classic film about a tough bar bouncer played by Swayze with a mysterious past who is hired to clean up one of middle America’s rowdiest bars and ends up taking down one of its most corrupt individuals in the process.

It’s full blown 80’s cheese and fun. I love the original film & Sam Elliott is incredible opposite Patrick Swayze in the movie. If you’ve never seen Road House then do yourself a favor and watch it. Now as far as a remake goes, I’m a little hesitant because overall remakes tend to miss on the things that make the originals so good. Just look at “Point Break” from a few years ago. It didn’t understand what really made that Patrick Swayze film so good and it showed.
