Kevin Smith is Working on a New “Green Hornet” Animated Series

Kevin Smith, the director/writer/actor/producer who brought us Clerks. and Jay and Silent Bob is diving back into The Green Hornet world.

The new family driven series will set the show in modern times and feature the grown up son of Green Hornet and the grown up daughter of Kato as they partner to battle crime in Century City.

If this modern version doesn’t sound appealing Smith did promise that the re-imagined version will retain many of the elements from the comics, including the character’s high-tech car, the Black Beauty.
