James Gunn Reveals “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is the End of This Team

Director James Gunn has confirmed the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will be the last time we will see this team of Guardians.

He also promised this next film will be bigger, dark and different from what we expect.

James Gunn Says Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Is ‘the End for Us’ | PEOPLE.com

I know he’s been teasing a big death in this film for a while. Which has caused lots of speculation of who will be the guardian that perishes? Drax since we know Dave Bautista is loyal to James after the whole “You’re Fired!” Disney debacle, Rocket since he’s a CGI character and Bradley Cooper doesn’t really need the role, and of course a loud portion of the internet wants Star Lord just because they hate Chris Pratt.

Either way I’m sure James Gunn has some cool tricks up his sleeves and will be able to deliver a satisfying conclusion to one of the most surprising franchises in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Guardians Vol 3 will be released May 5th, 2023.
