“Hobbs & Shaw” Trailer: The First “Fast & Furious” Spin-Off Trailer is Here

In 2019, we won’t be getting a traditional Fast and Furious movie, but we are seeing the first spin-off in the franchise and it involves biceps, big arms and beautiful bald men which is pretty much what this franchise has been. Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw which will be released by Universal Studios sees Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson as Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw reunite (after the incredible jail brawl from 2017’s The Fate of the Furious) facing off against a new enemy Idris Elba in what looks like an action packed fun movie. Check out the trailer below:

WOW! Okay, I’ll admit I have a soft spot for this franchise but when they announced a spin-off film involving these characters I was a little hesitant. I do love The Rock from his wrestling days and think he has turned into a good actor and great action star and Jason Statham is one of the best so I’m not sure why I doubted the chemistry between them would be anything short of stellar and this trailer indicates we are in for a fun ride of witty banter, fighting and big explosions.

It also helps that Deadpool 2 and Atomic Blonde director David Leitch helmed this project and you can see his touch in the trailer. Plus longtime series write/producer Chris Morgan is on board with this film. You will be able to catch Hobbs & Shaw exploding into theaters on August 2, 2019.
