HBO Max is Making an “It” Prequel Series

HBO Max is going to develop an “It” prequel series, called “Welcome to Derry”.

It’s going to take place in the ’60s and will lead up to the events of the 2017 movie, which is set in 1989.

It’ll include the origin story of both the town and Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

Andy Muschietti, who directed “It: Part One” and “It: Part Two”is attached to executive produce.

No word in Bill Skarsgard will return as Pennywise.
