Dwayne Johnson Says Black Adam Will Not Appear in the New DC Universe

The hierarchy of the DC universe is changing, again!

Dwayne Johnson had been pushing that the addition of “Black Adam” was going to reshape the DC universe and while the universe is changing it won’t include The Rock at least for the first chapter of things.

Dwayne shared that he talked with new DC Studios co-chief James Gunn, revealing Black Adam won’t be involved as of now. But Johnsons added in his statement posted to social media that DC and his own production company, Seven Bucks, “have agreed to continue exploring the most valuable ways Black Adam can be utilized in future DC multiverse chapters.”

The surprise announcement is just the latest in a recent flurry of headlines that have followed Gunn’s appointment to the head of DC Studios, along with producer Peter Safran, as the two men reshape the future of Warner Bros.’s slate of films, TV shows and games based on DC characters.

Gunn has promised that we will know the full slate of the DC Universe come January with a big announcement but for now we just have to wait and see.
