“Dracula” Revival Next Up for Blumhouse

Following the success of The Invisible Man it was all but certain that we would see Jason Blum and Blumhouse bring another classic Universal Monster back to life in the modern age.

This time they are focusing on “Dracula” and like “Invisible Man,” the new take on the classic villain will reportedly be set in modern times, with Karyn Kusama (Jennifers Body, The Invitation) directing.

You can read more about it below:

I love the new direction they are taking with the classic monsters. Unlike in 2017, when they felt that star power would drive these films they have shifted the focus onto story telling which is what always made these creatures scary.

It’s also nice to see Universal is fully behind the storytellers with other films lined up from filmmakers Paul Feig, John Krasinski, and Elizabeth Banks.

Are you excited for a modern take on “Dracula?”
