Doctor Sleep Trailer: The Sequel to The Shining

We have our first look at Ewan McGregor, in Doctor Sleep. This time around we follow a grown-up Danny Torrance dealing with a whole new set of supernatural problems. This is based on the novel by Stephen King, a sequel to his book The Shining and is directed by Mike Flanagan, who you know as the director for Netflix’s hit The Haunting of Hill House. Watch the Doctor Sleep trailer below.

I will admit I am not a fan of the original The Shining movie. My problems stem more from my love of the book that I read a couple years prior to seeing the movie. But I did like the usage of the original film in the trailer as well as utilizing the music at the end of the trailer. I also can’t lie that I am a little excited for this movie. It looks scary, plus Mike Flanagan, is a very talented director and this cast is incredible with Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson, Bruce Greenwood and more.

Are you excited for Doctor Sleep?
