Disney to Release Remaining 2021 Films in Theaters Exlusively

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings ruled the box office for a second straight weekend, collecting 35.8 million.

Ticket sales fell similar to other Marvel films in pre-pandemic times, and it’s notably, holding up better than Black Widow.

This was apparently enough evidence to the powers that be at the Mouse House to commit their remaining release of 2021, for theaters only.

That means Marvel’s Eternals will be in theaters under the 45-day theatrical release period before being available online. This commitment also includes all the 20th Century Studios films that are now under the Disney umbrella.

Disney Commits to Exclusive Theatrical Releases for Remaining 2021 Films (thewrap.com)

I am excited Disney made this announcement & I’m sure theater owners are as well. The mouse house plays extremely big in theaters earning money & knowing they have a commitment that these movies will be exclusive could provide some relief.

Which movie are you most excited to see in theaters now?
