“Black Widow” Pulls in $80M Opening Weekend

The Marvel Cinematic Universe proves once again it reigns the box office. In a much needed boost to the theaters, Black Widow set a pandemic era record opening after pulling in $80M at the domestic box office.

The movie which was also available on Disney+ for an extra $30 bucks also earned $60M over there. Which is kind of weird for a streaming company to announce how much a film made its opening weekend.

Add in the $78.8M it made overseas, and Black Widow made a total of $218.8M globally.

Considering a lot of areas in North America still aren’t operating at normal levels this is a big win for the movie theater industry.

What did you think of Black Widow? Did you see it in theaters or on Disney+?
