“Beauty and the Beast” Is Getting a Musical Prequel Series on Disney+

Luke Evans and Josh Gad are back as the Beauty and the Beast duo, Gaston and LeFou.

Disney Plus is doing an 8 episode prequel series and the best part. It’ll be a musical just like the live-action film.

Briana Middleton from “The Tender Bar” will play LeFou’s step-sister Tilly. The series is set years before the movie, with the three characters going on a journey that includes lots of comedy, adventure and romance.

Josh will produce and write scripts, along with the creators of “Once Upon a Time”.

Alan Menken will return and compose the soundtrack just like he did for both the cartoon and live-action “Beauty and the Beast” films.
