Amazon Officially Closes MGM Acquisition Deal at $8.5 Billion USD (yahoo.com)

I have Amazon Prime Video and I am really excited for this merger. MGM has produced some fantastic films over its history and the chance for these films to have a permanent streaming home is nice. I am also curious to see which of these franchises Amazon decides to spin off into TV series, streaming movies or total reboots. Could we see a James Bond spin off TV series? More Hobbits? Or here is my pitch…Give Us That Tommy Gunn Spin Off. I smell a “Cobra Kai” style spin off.
