Waynesboro man shot over Memorial Day weekend has died


WAYNESBORO, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Waynesboro Police Department reports that that victim of a shooting on Memorial Day weekend has died.

According to a press release, Seth Wayne Wallace, 22, of Waynesboro had succumbed to his injuries sustained in the May 25th shooting incident that occurred in the 1300 block of D Street.

Dustin Allen Dove of McGaheysville was arrested for his alleged involvement and charged with two felonies, including aggravated malicious wounding.

The investigation is ongoing and the Waynesboro Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office is currently examining the details to decide whether further charges will be filed.

Dove remains in custody and he has a hearing set for July 2nd.
