Waynesboro man in custody after shooting in Mint Spring


AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — A Waynesboro man has been arrested after a shooting this weekend in the Mint Spring area.

In a release, Sheriff Donald Smith said the Sheriff’s Office received a call for shots fired in the 200 block of White Hill Road at approximately 8:30 yesterday morning.

The victim reported that the suspect fired multiple shots that struck a vehicle and fled the scene.

Deputies arrived on scene and collected evidence where 27-year-old David Lee Blair was identified. Several hours later, Blair turned himself in.

Blair received 3 charges including felony use or attempt to use a threatening manner.

No injuries were reported and Blair is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
