HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – Today will be dry and mostly quiet. Weak high pressure will build into the area, bringing more stable conditions through Saturday night. Storm chances return Sunday afternoon as southerly winds increase and a weak surface trough develops.

Hot and humid conditions are expected to dominate much of next week, with highs reaching the lower to mid-90s and heat indices potentially climbing into the upper 90s or lower 100s. Monday and Tuesday should be mostly dry, although an isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. Storm chances are expected to increase Wednesday through Friday as a disturbance moves into the region, with the potential for severe storms.
