STAUNTON, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The City of Staunton announced this week that it is set to roll out another round of annual paving projects over the next several weeks, milling and repaving many streets across the city, and likely causing some delays and road closures.

While all city paving typically occurs in the spring, this year, Staunton Public Works is taking advantage of paving contractor availability and starting early.

Sections of Churchville Avenue, Grove Lane, West Frederick Street, and Greenville Avenue are among several other streets on the docket.

Staunton officials emphasize the exact date, time, and sequence of work are unknown due to weather considerations and other operational delays.

Those with questions or concerns about city pavement projects this fall should contact Staunton Public Works.
