Rockingham County educator named Athletic Director for Page County Public Schools

PAGE COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Page County Public Schools Superintendent Antonia Fox announced this week that Ryne Powell has been selected as the new Athletic Director for Page County High School.

In a letter to school students, parents and faculty, Fox stated that she was excited to have Powell, who has 14 years of teaching and coaching.

He served most recently as Assistant Athletic Director at Spotswood High School.

Powell also volunteers in the James Madison University athletic department doing instant replay for baseball and running the game scoreboard for basketball.

The Bridgewater College graduate, who also holds a master’s degree in administration and educational leadership from Radford University, will begin his tenure in Page County next Wednesday, Aug. 28.
