NEW ORLEANS (JMU Athletics) – The Sun Belt Conference unveiled James Madison’s 18-game 2026-27 men’s basketball league schedule on Thursday, Aug. 6.

JMU’s conference slate features 12 games, home and away, against traditional East Division opponents and six crossover games.

Games against Troy (Jan. 2), Old Dominion, and App State (Feb. 10) highlight the home contests inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center, where the Dukes are 27-9 against league foes since joining the league in 2022-23.

A road matchup at Southern Miss (Dec. 19) kicks off the league road schedule, with JMU also set to host Georgia State (Dec. 16) in the Dukes’ two early conference games. The Purple and Gold will travel to Ruston, La., to face off with new league mate Louisiana Tech (Jan. 7) and play Louisiana (Jan. 9) for the first time since the 2023-24 season.

In total, JMU will play six teams at home and on the road this season: Georgia State, Old Dominion, Marshall, App State, Coastal Carolina, and Georgia Southern.
