SEATTLE (JMU Athletics) – James Madison women’s basketball has added a pair of games to its 2024-25 non-conference schedule, as the Dukes will compete in the St. Pete Showcase, hosted at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla. from Nov. 27-Dec. 1.

The four-team showcase includes Florida, Northern Arizona and Tulane. JMU will open play against the Lumberjacks on Thanksgiving (Nov. 28), followed by the Gators the next day.

The Dukes will face NAU for the first time in program history while holding a 4-1 record versus current Big Sky opponents. The last time JMU squared off against an opponent from the Big Sky was in 2023-24 when the Dukes edged Montana State, 65-62, at the Cancun Challenge on Nov. 24.

Meanwhile, James Madison is 0-2 in its series with Florida, dating back to 1980. In the most recent meeting between the two, UF knocked off the Dukes in the fourth round of the WNIT, 85-80, at home on March 30, 2013. JMU is 9-20 all-time versus current SEC members.

The most up-to-date information can be found on J5 Inc.’s website here.

The Dukes will open the 2024-25 season at Kent State on Nov. 4 as part of the MAC-SBC Challenge. JMU’s Sun Belt Conference schedule has been announced, while other non-conference contests will be announced at a later time.
