HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – After seeking input from the public, the Harrisonburg Public Works stormwater team is ready to communicate progress on the city’s Stormwater Improvement Plan.

Sustainability and Environmental Manager Keith Thomas said in a news release that the public is invited to an in-person meeting next week to review information gathered from a recent survey and open house event as well as learn about current stormwater conditions and future plans.

“After the release of the public survey and open house, we are excited to invite the community to learn more about the
information that has been collected,” Harrisonburg Sustainability and Environmental Manager Keith Thomas said. “We
are eager to take the next step in the SWIP project process by presenting proposed stormwater plans and treatment
recommendations.”

Two meetings will be held next Tuesday evening at the Lucy Simms Continuing Education Center. There will be presentations at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
