Harrisonburg man charged in connection with shooting to face grand jury

HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) The Harrisonburg man charged in connection with a shooting earlier this year will now face a grand jury.

According to online records, Alfred Dale Eppard appeared in General District Court where he waived his right and a judge certified the charge of attempted second degree murder to a grand jury.

Eppard, 60, faced four other charges, including malicious assault but they were dropped by the court today.

The charges stemmed from a shooting that happened on Feb. 19 on Peake Mountain Road west of Harrisonburg.

The 58-year-old victim was taken to UVA for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
