Fort Valley teen arrested after school threat

SHENANDOAH COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Shenandoah County authorities arrested a juvenile earlier today for allegedly threatening a school.

According to a news release, Sheriff Tim Carter stated that deputies responded to an incident regarding school threats.

Carter reported that the incident pertained to a school assignment that was submitted by a suspected 14-year-old Fort Valley boy. The assignment the juvenile submitted, which involved school violence and threats, was then reported to school officials and the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office.

The boy was charged with two counts, including threats to bomb or damage buildings and he has been taken to a Juvenile Detention Center and is awaiting a detention hearing.
