City of Harrisonburg experiencing flooding on major roads


HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — As our area continues to see heavy rain from the overnight hours, portions of roads in the City of Harrisonburg are closed due to flooding.

In a release, Director of Communications for the city, Mike Parks says the following roads are all currently experiencing major flooding
Country Club Road at Linda Lane
100 block of South Avenue
East Market Street at Vine Street
Jefferson Street at Charles Street
Waterman Drive at Chicago Avenue
South Main Street at Bruce Street
190 Bluestone Drive on the JMU Campus

Additional streets may also be experiencing flooding. Do not risk crossing flooded streets. TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN!
