HARRISONBURG VA: (Rocktown Now) – An area of high pressure over Quebec will continue to bring us sunny skies and low humidity today. By Wednesday, an upper trough over central Canada, will drop south over New England, coming close enough to us to bring some clouds and a slight chance for showers late in the day. The humidity and chance for showers returns Thursday as a more potent trough arrives in the area. Temperatures won’t increase very much, but the humidity will be noticeably higher.

Tomorrow: partly sunny with a thunderstorm in spots late in the afternoon. High 83. Winds south

Thursday: humid with times of clouds and sun; a morning shower in spots followed by a couple of heavy thunderstorms in the afternoon. Storms can bring flooding downpours and localized damaging wind gusts. High 85. Winds south 4-8 mph.

Friday: humid with variable cloudiness; an afternoon and evening thunderstorm in spots. High 83. Winds light and variable.

Saturday: partly sunny and humid. High 82. Winds northeast 3-6 mph.
