FOREST, Va. (BC Athletics) – Jaicere Bateman and Jack Hendren have been named the ODAC Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week after their performances in the Eagles’ 41-15 victory over Ferrum on Saturday.

Bateman had a career day in only three quarters. The sophomore threw for 345 yards on 25-of-31 passing for a pair of touchdowns. Bateman also rushed the ball twice and found paydirt both times on sneaks up the middle.

Hendren earns his second Player of the Week accolade after nailing a pair of field goals to go along with four extra points. The cherry on top was the senior’s surprise onside kick in the third quarter that the Eagles recovered to help extend the lead.

Bridgewater returns home on Saturday as Averett visits for a 2 p.m. kick on homecoming.
