UPDATE: 3 missing children from Fishersville safely located


AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — UPDATE: As of 6:14pm all three children have been safely located.

UPDATE: The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office has determined that 35-year-old Shanice Chante Davison, estranged biological mother of the three missing children, is the one who kidnapped them. They believe she is en route to Alabama, where she resides. It is believed that they have crossed state lines and are no longer in Virginia. The Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Shanice Davison or the children to contact the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 540-245-5333; Investigator Ron Reid. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 800-322-2017.

UPDATE: Virginia State Police have issued an AMBER alert for three children who were kidnapped in Fishersville on Friday, December 5.

According to a release from VSP and the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office, 10-year-old Jai’Marcus Lewis, 8-year-old Ja’Miyah Lewis, and 6-year-old Ja’Liyah Lewis were taken from their bus stop sometime between 7:40am and 8:27am, when the Sheriff’s Office received a call about a kidnapping that had taken place at Bobby’s Way Apartment complex in Fishersville. The caller’s three children were waiting for the bus, when a black 4- Door vehicle pulled up to the bus stop and took the children.

Virginia State police believe the children are in extreme danger and may have been kidnapped by their biological mother, 35-year-old Shanice Chante Davison (pictured below).

Both of the female children were wearing pink jackets, and the male child was wearing a black and dark blue jacket with neon zippers. The children were last seen at approximately 7:40 AM this morning, when they left to go to the bus stop.
