Augusta County Sheriff’s Office continues investigating Greenville shooting

AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the shooting that took place last week in Greenville.

In a release, Sheriff Donald Smith said that due to the seriousness of the injuries sustained by the victim, the Sheriff’s Office is continuing to devote an enormous amount of time and resources to identify the other party of the road rage incident.

The Sheriff’s Office says they are now looking for the driver of a four-door white or light-colored pickup truck, with dark rims and tires, that was traveling South on Rt. 11, in the area of the Loves Truck Stop, just moments before the shooting occurred on July 24.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
