Augusta County crews respond to Lyndhurst-area fire

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Augusta County fire and rescue officials are investigating what caused a fire last night that heavily damaged a home in the Lyndhurst area.

According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, multiple fire crews were dispatched shortly before 11:30 p.m. to the fire off of Mount Torrey Road.

When firefighters arrived, they found the structure heavily engulfed in flames that threatened a nearby camper.

At least six crews were on scene to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.
