A trial date has been set for two Augusta County men accused of defrauding the brother of Parkland, Florida, school shooter Nikolas Cruz.

Online records show that a five-day trial for Richard Moore and Michael Donovan will begin on December 11th of next year in the Circuit Court.

The pair of 45-year-olds from Fishersville face four charges, including obtaining money under false pretenses.

Prosecutors list the victim as 22-year-old Zachary Cruz, who inherited over 400-thousand in life insurance benefits following the death of his mother.

Donovan, who is CEO of Nexus in Fishersville, had stated in a Facebook post that the charges are bogus.

Incidentally, both he and Moore also have a trial date of June 16th of next year to face a charge of creating a public nuisance.
