HARRISONBURG VA: (WSVA) – Folks in the Friendly City who want to start the year off with a chill are invited to come out for the City of Harrisonburg’s Shiver Me Timbers Pirate Plunge on New Year’s Day.
According to Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation, anyone over 14 years old is welcome to show up at Westover Pool at nine o’clock Monday morning.
The department said refreshments will be provided, and the first 50 people are guaranteed a free Westover Pool towel.
Online registration is required at the Parks and Recreation website: the cost is 20 dollars for city residents, and 40 dollars for everyone else.
