Harrisonburg, Va. –  One person is hospitalized another in jail after a stabbing in Harrisonburg.

Police say just before midnight last night, officers were called to Sentara RMH where a patient was being treated for several stab wounds.

The altercation is believed to have happened near the Spotswood Mobile Home Park on Country Club Road in Harrisonburg. The victim received approximately 17 stab wounds and was taken to UVA Medical Center for treatment.  They are expected to survive.

Police have arrested 19-year old city resident Kevin Villatoro.

The incident remains under investigation.
