Pedestrian struck and killed on Interstate 81 near Strasburg

STRASBURG VA: (WSVA) – Virginia State Police are seeking the public’s help with identifying a vehicle that struck a pedestrian early Saturday morning in Shenandoah County.
Senior Trooper M. Brill is investigating the hit-and-run crash that happened between 5 and 6 am on Interstate 81 at mile marker 296 near Strasburg.
The pedestrian, an unknown male, was in the roadway when he was struck by an unknown northbound vehicle and died at the scene. His remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Manassas for an examination, autopsy, and positive identification.
The hit-and-run vehicle did not stop at the scene and could possibly have front-end damage.
