CRIMORA, Va. — Officials cut the ribbon this morning on a long-planned project meant to improve access to the South River in Augusta County.

The new Crimora Park Public River Access site on New Hope-Crimora Road was designed to make the riverfront more accessible for anglers, swimmers, boaters, and folks who just want some peace and quiet.

Augusta County Parks and Recreation Director Andy Wells said that the new access point gives residents something to tie generations together.

He added that the project was funded entirely through an environmental settlement reached with Dupont Chemical Company.
