Manhunt over for West Virginia man

VERONA, Va. –  A West Virginia man who was the focus of a manhunt in Augusta County last week has been captured.

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office reports Larry Allen Turner was captured in Pocahontas County, West Virginia last night.

Local authorities got involved last Wednesday when the fugitive was reportedly seen on Hankey Mountain Highway in Churchville.  Police flooded the area as Turner was wanted multiple felony warrants and considered armed and dangerous. He was also a person of interest in a West Virginia homicide investigation.

Turner was able to evade law enforcement until last evening.
