Leaf retrieval kicks off soon for residents in the Queen City.

In a release, city communications coordinator Morgan Smith said that Staunton’s annual leaf collection program runs from next month through early January.

According to Smith, residents who would like to take advantage of the program should rake all leaves to the curb by their collection date, as far away from gutters as possible. Folks should be sure to remove all rocks and debris from the leaves to ensure pickup.

Final pick-up dates for the season vary by neighborhood. More information is available here.
