Virginia State Police have confirmed the identities of the four people who died in that deadly plane crash in Augusta County just over a month ago.

In a release yesterday, spokesperson Corrine Geller said the victims were 69-year-old pilot Jeffrey Hefner of Satellite Beach, Florida; and 56-year-old Evadnie Smith, 49-year-old Adina Azarian, and two-year-old Aria Azarian, all of East Hampton, New York.

The plane went down the afternoon of June 4th in a mountainous area of southern Augusta County, just north of the Nelson County line.

A lack of oxygen caused by a depressurized cabin has been mentioned by the National Safety Transportation Board as the likely reason for the crash, which remains under investigation.
