HARRISONBURG, Va – The former executive director of the Front Royal-Warren County Economic Development Authority had four of her convictions overturned.

Jennifer McDonald had filed two post-trial motions, including one for judgment of acquittal on five of her convictions and another for a new trial.

U-S District Court Judge Elizabeth Dillon issued a memorandum opinion Tuesday denying her request for a new trial but granted acquittal of four bank fraud counts.

The 46-year-old McDonald was convicted by a federal jury on November 1st on 34 charges, including 16 counts of money laundering, after she stole over five million dollars from the government agency.

She will be sentenced next month.
