Former Bridgewater College student dies in crash

A former Bridgewater College football player is dead following a three vehicle crash in Spotsylvania County.

State Police say 23-year old Isaac Evans was killed when the car he was driving was hit head-on by a minivan driving in the wrong direction.  The driver of the wrong way vehicle, 27 year old J’haun Pendleton of Fredericksburg also died at the scene of the crash.

The impact from the wreck caused Evan’s car to collide with a Westbound 2012 Jeep Wrangler.  The driver of the Jeep suffered minor injuries.

Evans was a defensive back for Bridgewater and the player known as “HYPE” had five interceptions in his junior campaign.
