Crimora Man Falls Overboard Cruise Ship; Presumed Dead

JACKSONVILLE, Fl. — Authorities continue to search for the body of an Augusta County man who went overboard on a cruise ship as it was returning to Norfolk.

The Coast Guard says Ronnie Lee Peale Junior, of Crimora, was on a Carnival Magic cruiseliner when he dropped into the water nearly 200 miles off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida early Monday morning.

Aircraft and search ships have been deployed in the area where the 35-year-old Peale disappeared.

Although no body has been found body, Peale’s fiancée, Jennilyn Blosser, has set up a GoFundMe to help pay for expected funeral expenses.
