VERONA VA (Rocktown Now) – It appears that the former executives of Nexus Services will go to trial for allegedly embezzling over 400-thousand dollars from Zachary Cruz.

Richard Moore of Fishersville had a status hearing Tuesday in Augusta County Circuit Court where he was found mentally competent to stand trial.

A judge then finalized the start date of the trial of March 9th of next year for Moore, Michael Donovan and Timothy Shipe who are all accused of stealing the life insurance money from Cruz following the passing of his mother.

Cruz is the brother of Nikolas Cruz, who shot and killed 17 people at a Parkland, Florida, school back in 2018.

The Nexus executives are also on the hook for the over $800 million civil judgment against them that was handed down last year.

Moore remains in federal custody while he awaits his November 13th sentencing date for tax fraud.
